External tooth retainers operate as retaining collars or spacers when they are installed in tubes, recesses, or other types of holes. The protruding teeth of this external retainer flex, connecting with the complete circumference of the recess wall in order to inhibit any level of pull-out force. This external tooth is perfect for inserts such as knob inlays.

The Springrip external tooth retainer come in a range of dimensional sizes in terms of the hole sizes they are designed for, inside diameter, min. and max. outside diameter, and material thickness. This includes hole size designs ranging from 0.375 to 1.125, inside diameters ranging from 0.190 to 0.875, min. outside diameters of 0.378 to 1.130, and max. outside diameters of 0.383 to 1.137. Material thicknesses of Springrip external tooth retainers range from 0.012 to 0.036.

Solid Toothless I.D. Retainers

These smooth, slightly dished solid and smooth I.D. retainers deliver a complete 360° contact with studs, shafts, or other type of round projections. These retainers do not collapse under or work off vibration or shock. With the small O.D. and low profile of this retainer, it is ideal for restricted area use.

They come in a range of dimensional sizes in terms of the hole sizes they are designed for, min. and max. inside diameter, min. and max. outside diameter, min. and max. height, and material thickness. This includes hole size designs ranging from 0.125 to 0.365, min. inside diameters ranging from 0.113 to 0.356, max. inside diameters of 0.119 to 0.362, min. outside diameters of 0.315 to 0.550, max. outside diameters of 0.335 to 0.570, min. heights of 0.020 to 0.050, and max. heights of 0.030 to 0.065. Material thicknesses of Springrip external tooth retainers range from 0.006 to 0.022.

Type B External Tooth Retainers

The Type B external tooth retainer comes in a wide array of dimensional sizes in terms of hole design, inside diameter, min. and max. outside diameter, and material thickness.
