BosScrew™ for Refrigerator Drawers
Problem:
Customer was looking to change from a steel liner for a refrigerator a plastic liner, but were unable to pass life cycle testing. All plastic thread forming screws tried were failing in the door prior to the 300,000 door slams required of the part.
Solution:
Customer switched to a BosScrew™ and the part exceeded the testing. The BosScrew™ made it over 1,000,000 door slams to failure, which is more than double the requirement.
Impact:
The BosScrew™ allowed the customer to switch from a steel liner to a less expensive and lighter plastic door liner for the refrigerator.
