GripTide™ for Lawn Mowers
Problem:
Brass inserts used to attach a plastic cover to the steel deck of a lawn mower was not passing anti-rotation and pull-out testing needed by our customer.
Solution:
Customer switched to ITW’s GripTide™ insert and the parts significantly outperformed brass inserts to the point that graded bolts would fail before the GripTide™ insert would fail.
Impact:
With the use of the GripTide™ insert, our customer was able to implement the plastic cover on their mower without concerns regarding failure.
