Shakeproof™ Thread for Washing Machine
Problem:
The impeller bolt in a top load washing machine would loosen during use.
Solution:
Customer needed a fastener that would not loosen in the application. Initially, the customer wanted to add an adhesive patch to the part, but switched to the Shakeproof™ Thread instead.
Impact:
The Shakeproof™ threads sinusoidal thread pattern eliminated the loosening of the bolt without the additional cost of an adhesive patch, saving our customer approximately $50,000 per year.
