BosScrew™ for Bilge Pump
Problem:
Our customer’s bilge pumps were leaking due to the plastic thread forming screws backing out. This caused failures and leaks in their customer’s boat and lead to one boat sinking due to failure of the automatic bilge pump.
Solution:
The fastener was changed to a BosScrew™ to eliminate the loosening issue.
Impact:
Implementation of the BosScrew™ fastener eliminated warranty issues for pumps leaking or not working due to fasteners backing out.
